Zainab Khan, a neuroscience PhD student at the University of Calgary, received the Alberta Immigrant Impact Award for her contributions to research, advocacy and leadership. Her work focuses on brain development and neurodegenerative diseases. Khan also co-founded a nonprofit for children's education in Pakistan.
