Congratulations to UCalgary Nursing associate professor Dr. Shane Sinclair, whose multicentred (Winnipeg and Calgary) study EnACT has received a Spring 2021 CIHR Project Scheme Grant. Sinclair is also the director of the Compassion Research Lab (CRL) and a member of Cumming School of Medicine's Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute and of the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute.

EnACT (Evidence-informed, Competency-based, Accredited, Compassion Training) is a program being developed and validated for health-care providers (HCPs) working in acute care, long-term care and hospice.  It builds on Sinclair's program of research on compassion within the CRL including using the recently developed Sinclair Compassion Questionnaire. The hope is to develop online training modules that are accessible to HCPs across Canada and beyond.
