Extracting new information from clinical imaging scans. Improving the measurement of tissue injury and repair in neurological diseases; Identifying treatment impacts of nerve-repairing medicines; and Predicting disease progression.
Development of new image analysis methods, and improvement and verification of established methods. Examples include machine learning/deep learning technologies, model interpretation techniques, image post-processing and analysis methods, and spatial frequency analyses.
Assessing tissue pathology using anatomical and advanced MRI methods, along with confirmation using quantitative histology. Investigating images from postmortem samples and animal models of neurological diseases.
