Urban GIS
Victoria Fast specializes in urban GIS, where she focuses on issues related to building smart, resilient, and sustainable cities. In her research, she employs web-based collaborative technologies, paired with public engagement, citizen science, and participatory GIS methods, to start conversations, build capacity, and strengthen resilience between government and citizens. Case studies range from crowdsourcing regional food assets, global wheelchair accessibility, mental health and educational resources, and climate change adaptation planning.
