Blockchain, the technology underlying cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, has significant potential for applications like anti-counterfeiting and self-executing "smart contracts". Working with this supervisor
I am interested in top-notch students at both the Masters and Doctoral level in my research areas as listed here. I only accept "self-starters" who are able to manage their own academic and research program with suitable guidance but without excessive nagging to meet deadlines etc. Excellent proficiency in the English language is a requirement because much of the literature in my fields requires the ability to read and write at the graduate school level. While the University of Calgary, and other institutions, may provide some financial assistance, and I do encourage students to apply for everything possible, I specifically do not provide funding for graduate students out of research projects. Therefore I expect that applicants will have already arranged the resources to support their study and living expenses in Calgary and demonstrate this through a realistic funding plan with the application.
