My primary research focus is on the ways in which individual psychology and market incentives feedback on one another, shaping the salient social identities and frames of reference indivdiuals use when making decisions. This research is an outgrowth of my interests in poverty, development, and the ways in which individuals adapt their attitudes and beliefs to their circumstances.
