B Sc (Hons), Physiology University of Karachi, Pakistan
Areas of Research
Brain development, plasticity & regeneration, brain-machine interfacing, neuron-chip technology, bionic hybrid, synapse formation & neurodegeneration
My research is focused at cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying brain development and plasticity. Specifically we study how networks of brain cells assemble during development and modified throughout life to form the basis for learning and memory. We also investigate how various anesthetic agents affect communications between brain cells and induce cytotoxicity.
