Areas of Research

Quality and outcomes of endoscopy, assessment of novel endoscopic techniques, devices, and technologies
My research focuses on the outcomes (success, adverse events, and patient-reported measures) and quality of endoscopic procedures, especially advanced/ therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), among others. I also assess the performance and safety of new endoscopic techniques, devices, and technologies. My research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
