PhD in Chemical Engineering North Carolina State University Raleigh, North Carolina, USABS in Chemical Engineering University of Alabama Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA
Areas of Research
The Rinker group develops experimental models of health and disease and uses these models to develop and test new technologies for disease detection and treatment. They have developed new tools for use in physiological profiling of cells, drug target/biomarker identification, tissue engineering, and screening of pharmaceuticals, nanoparticles and MRI contrast agents. Recent projects include breast cancer diagnostics and nanoparticle assessment in cells and zebrafish. Methodologies incorporated include transcriptomics, protein analysis, cell based functional assays, bioinformatics, and computational modeling and simulation.
