Areas of Research
Risk for Serious Mental Illness
The At-Risk for Mental Illness Research Program is led by Dr Jean Addington. Current studies are investigating predictors and mechanism of developing psychosis, that include clinical variables, traumatic events, substance use, social functioning, cognitive functioning, evoked potentials, genomics, cortisol and brain imaging. We are also examining the effectiveness of a range of treatments through randomized controlled trials for these at risk youth.
