Areas of Research
Gender - Affirming Voice work
Working with the transgender community to guide individuals to a better understanding of how the voice works and how to have greater access to the natural two to four octave range all human beings are born with. Using the vocal practices to train the speaking voice of the actor, I apply the theories and techniques for the stage and adapt them for the needs and specific requirements for people wanting to find either a more feminine or masculine quality to their voices.
