Areas of Research
English as an L2
The core of my research relates to learners of English as an L2. Within this I am particularly interested in issues of motivation, autonomy, self-regulation of language learning, and how language learners can generally become more effective in how they acquire the language. More broadly within the field of TESOL and Applied Linguistics I am also interested in aspects including SLA, discourse analysis in language learning, and language assessment.
