Neurology/Cognition
research uses neuroimaging to investigate the risk factors for, and consequences of, cerebral small vessel disease in healthy populations and in patients with mild cognitive impairment or cerebral amyloid angiopathy. He has been funded by operating grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC), Alzheimer Society of Canada, U.S. NINDS, and other agencies. I lead the Vascular Cognitive Impairment team of Canada’s national research strategy for dementia, the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging.
