Elizabeth ODDONE PAOLUCCI, PhD
PhD in Educational Psychology with Specialization in Human Development and Learning University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Areas of Research
I have studied and authored works in psychology and education on the subjects of attachment, child and family development, criminality and psychopathology across the lifespan, and adult learning. My current research focus is on: supporting graduate student and resident education; competency development and the assessment of healthcare professionals; non-cognitive skill development and leadership; as well as teamwork, decision-making during complex tasks, and how medical errors inform preventive strategies and patient safety. By utilizing primarily quantitative, psychometric methods, as well as systematic reviews/meta-analytic approaches, my program seeks to advance our scientific understanding of the processes of human professional development and learning from the theoretical and methodological vantages of cognitive, affective, social and organizational psychology.
