Working with this supervisor
I am interested in supervising students working on the history of religion in Canada with a focus on the Protestant tradition and also the issue of secularization. In the field of popular culture, I am particularly interested in students whose research investigates the relationship between religion and popular culture. I am also interested in students researching the theme of war and society as it relates to the history of Canada during the First World. This research field includes the legacy and memorialization of the First World War throughout the twentieth century. I am accepting students at either the M.A. or Ph.D. level.
