The Master of Biomedical Technology (MBT) degree is a one-year program that blends science and business education with work-integrated learning. As an MBT student, Reid Collins completed a four-month practicum with Resverlogix Corp, a Calgary-based biotech company. Reid worked with the company's business and corporate development team to explore potential new uses for a drug.
The MBT program is one of several UCalgary graduate programs requiring students to complete a work-integrated learning component, whether as a practicum, work-term or internship.
Students participating in program-required internships are not eligible for research or skills-based internship funding.
