Applying for a Transformative Talent Internship
Once you have an internship opportunity approved by your supervisor and/or program, you can apply to make your internship a Transformative Talent Internship.
Find an opportunity and get approval from your program/supervisor
Get approval from your graduate program to participate in an internship. Find and secure a suitable internship opportunity. Learn more about finding and internship opportunity.
Confirm you and the internship opportunity meet the eligibility requirements and understand the regulations in the Graduate Calendar. Remember, international students and international internships may have different work eligibility requirements and should contact International Student Services.
The Transformative Talent Internship Application process is managed through Elevate, the University's career resource for students. Please follow the steps outlined in the following resources for applying to the TTI program:
Please note that when you are preparing your application in Elevate, you MUST have the following documents ready:
- Internship job description
- Offer letter for the internship
These files MUST be combined into a single file for uploading to Elevate. You will NOT be able to return to edit this section of the application once you start it.
Your application will be reviewed by:
- your supervisor (thesis-based students) or your graduate program staff (course-based students)
- Your Graduate Program Director
- The Faculty of Graduate Studies
In most circumstances, you will be notified of the success of your application with approximately 14 days of applying.
Funding and internship course
If your internship is funded, you will receive a Transformative Talent Internship scholarship.
When your internship is approved, you will be enrolled automatically in the internship course.
