Dr. Daniel McGrath

Dr. McGrath is the Associate Dean of Research and Scholarships in the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Working with the scholarship team, he is responsible for overseeing the awards and scholarships available to graduate students at the University of Calgary. This includes major competitions such as the Killam and Vanier awards, as well as Tri-Council scholarships offered through the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Dr. McGrath is also the FGS representative on the Associate Deans Research Committee and the Curriculum & Academic Review Committee – Graduate (GARC) in the Faculty of Arts. Dr. McGrath holds a PhD in Psychology from Dalhousie University and is also a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary.
