Areas of Research

Human-Environment Relationships
I study how communities perceive and act creatively in changing environments through time. I use the methods of both archaeology and ethnography and conduct fieldwork in Greenland and the Czech Republic.
Archaeology of the Mind
I study the ecology of human cognition, with a particular interest in how material practice shapes perception and response.
