Prospective Students: I am recruiting MSc and PhD students to begin in Fall 2027 and later, with backgrounds in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, and related quantitative fields aligned with optimization and machine learning.

I contact only applicants I can take on and want to work with. If you don't hear back, it isn't a judgment worth reading much into; fit depends heavily on what I'm working on and funding in a given year. Please don't follow up by email. If you cannot access the form, email me with the subject line "Prospective Graduate Student" and include:

1. Which degree you are interested in (MSc or PhD).
2. An up-to-date resume/CV and all undergrad/graduate transcripts.
3. Your earliest possible start date.
4. A few sentences on what interests you about optimization and machine learning. There are no right or wrong answers, and you don't need to be interested in my specific work. If there is something of mine that connects to your own interests, feel free to say so, but tell me why it connects, not what the paper is about. Summarizing my work back to me, or naming a paper title, doesn't tell me anything. I'm much more interested in seeing independence and self-motivation.
