Areas of Research
Sport injury prevention
Most of my work is focused on sport injury prevention, though I do some injury rehabilitation and long-term post-injury health projects as well. I use evidence from injury epidemiology and risk factor studies to develop prevention strategies and evaluate them in applied settings. My projects cover the entire spectrum from youth/grassroots sport up to elite/professional levels.

Behaviour change
I study how psychological, social, and environmental factors shape behaviour. I use health behaviour change theory to develop prevention interventions and delivery approaches that support uptake and long-term sustainment in sport and sport medicine settings. I am particularly interested in how risk perceptions and risk communication influence behaviour and health outcomes.

Implementation Science
I use principles of implementation science to accelerate the translation of evidence into practice. Working collaboratively with community partners, I develop and evaluate ways to deliver interventions that are accessible, acceptable, feasible, and sustainable in sport and clinical settings. My focus is on empowering communities to adapt and integrate interventions in ways that work for their own contexts.
