Nursing faculty received various accolades last month

Congrats to Dr. Nancy Moules, Dr. Nicole Letourneau, Dr. Tracey Clancy and Zahra Upal on their awards

Congrats to these faculty members who received awards announced in November:

Dr. Tracey Clancy, awarded the Canadian Association of School of Nursing 2022 Excellence in Nursing Education (TENURED) for her positive influence in her faculty teaching, mentorship and compelling leadership.

Dr. Nancy Moules, awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal [Alberta] for her work with Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta and her “exploration of the psychosocial effects of cancer on families.”

Dr. Nicole Letourneauawarded a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for her work in prevention of domestic abuse. She also just received a CIHR grant for the project Attachment and Child Health (ATTACH™) Online: Implementation Across Alberta to Promote Healthy Parent-Child Relationships and Mental Health and Development of Children Affected by Early Adversity along with team members Dr. Linda Duffett-Leger and Dr. Mohammad Moshirpour.

Zahra Upal, awarded the Canadian Nursing Federation’s 2022 Tylenol® Fund to Advance Diversity in Nursing and Health Equity Research scholarship for a Master’s student, for her research focus on experiences of Islamophobia faced by Muslim nurses.
